Welcome to my gallery of nightscapes and astrophotographs, a small sampling of my photos and videos. I am just a self-taught hobbyist, and I use common off the shelf cameras and camera lenses. I don't use telescopes or expensive imaging equipment. Most of my photos and videos are shot from my front yard with a lot of light pollution all around. I believe in making the best out of what you have and where you are. Experiment, practice, and persevere.

How to Achieve a Sharp Focus on Stars

I am often asked how I manage to focus my lenses on stars. It is a fairly easy process but does require some practice.
