Astrophotography

Welcome to my astrophotography web pages. I am not a professional photographer nor an astronomer. I am an amateur in both of these areas. I took up this hobby after spending quite a bit of time attempting to spot satellites as they cross through the night sky. To me this is one of the most relaxing hobbies/activities in which I have ever participated. Sitting outside under the stars gazing into the Cosmos is a deeply moving and somewhat spiritual activity. The ability to predict when and where visible satellites will traverse the sky is deeply rewarding, as is the the ability to know when and where to point my camera and optics to capture sights which few have seen up close.

My astrophotography web pages are designed to show some of my photos, videos, equipment, and techniques in order to encourage others who are interested in pursuing this hobby. It doesn't take much money, just some time and a lot of patience. My goal is to encourage people like myself who have limited means to use the equipment they can afford to enjoy the hobby.
